Mirto is the iconic liqueur of Sardegna, and in the Alghero area it carries a particularly strong sense of local identity. It is made by infusing wild myrtle berries in alcohol, followed by the addition of sugar or honey. The result is a deep ruby-red liqueur, highly aromatic, with an intense, balsamic and slightly sweet flavor—perfect as a digestif or as an authentic reminder of the region.
